Statement
As a visual artist, I am interested in making works that merge the beauty of the natural world and the celebration of faith practices together. My pursuit in doing this is to offer sanctuary, an atmosphere where a person can find rest by listening, discovering, and contemplating. Furthermore, the methods I use to make metal sculptures and natural prints meld both science and the principals of design. Therefore, I approach art making as an inventive explorer, taking risks so I may better create a place that provides sanctuary. This allows my artwork to be suitable for private, public, and sacred spaces.
