Artist Bio

Anthony Deal is a sixth generation central Floridian, and a 2016, 2017 & 2018 Art and History Museums Maitland  Artist in Action recipient. By the time Anthony entered Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, he began making strides to become a professional artist. Since that time, his sculptural and printmaking presentations have been recognized by means of national shows and awards. In 2010, he received a nomination for the prestigious award for emerging craft artists, the Windgate Fellowship Award. Currently, he has been driven to have his work enter into a person’s everyday experience, and in 2016 he was a participant with Art in Odd Places: Play. During the three day event, he produced natural prints on the streets of downtown Orlando, FL.
